On Land:
Summer’s classes are grounded with an emphasis on breath. Her flow classes are steady and passionate, her yin classes are slow and meditational. She moves the body safely and intentionally in an effort to align a student into their own being. She recognizes that every-body is different and as a teacher believes her duty is to connect rather than direct. You can catch land classes in various studios around the Sacramento area and out in nature at farms, parks, and open spaces.

On Water:
Summer’s SUP Yoga classes are a true combination of both passions. She begins every lesson with basic Stand Up Paddle techniques and safety for beginners before getting on the water. Once standing, she guides the class on a short adventure to practice skills and get comfortable paddling. The yoga portion of the class is about an hour long where various poses are offered to give a wide range of students opportunity to challenge themselves if they want or stay dry if that is their preference. If she can avoid anchoring the boards, she does, because her philosophy is that yoga teaches us to “go with the flow” and that is never more true than in the environment of our waterways. These classes are playful with encouragement and a strong sense of awareness to the surrounding area.

In Air:  Coming Soon!
Aerial Yoga in silk hammocks!  After experiencing the space, traction, and support created by this form of yoga, Summer knew this was the next element to her teaching. She’s assisted classes at Wanderlust events, has worked with some clients one-on-one and plans to get officially educated and certified in this style this year.

Keep an eye out for classes later this year!
